Playa de Amor or hidden beach is a small paradise in Mexico. Furthermore, it is one of the few places where human error has resulted in a beautiful landscape. In other words, this is a place of a combination of natural beauty and artificial error. One of the main reasons why this place is so special is position of the beach. The only way to see the beach is from above. As well as water tunnel that connects it to the Pacific Ocean.
In the early 20th century, the Mexicans tested bombs in preparation for World War I. Even more, the only way to test were detonations in the ocean. Therefore, many believe that some of the bombs landed on a hidden beach. Since 2005 the whole area is known as national park. In other words Parque Nacional Islas Marietas. Even though the islands have no inhabitants, tourists can come and escape the crowds. Most of the islands never had inhabitants. Furthermore, this allowed nature to show all its splendor.

This nature reserve was hidden from the rest of the world for a long time. The island is impossible to see from the water. There are no hotels and restaurants on the beach. Furthermore, all content is in nearby Puerto Vallarta. Tourists can go there if they want to eat or drink something. There is no fishing since the whole area is one big reserve. However, activities such as diving near the reef are possible. As well as kayaking.
How to get to the beach
To get to this paradise takes about an hour by boat from Puerto Vallarta. Boat travels northwest to the mouth of Banderas Bay. However as the beach is close to the entrance to the cave, you should swim about 150 m through the archipelago. But this is only for best swimmers because of sea currents.
The cave resembles a large crater. In other words like an umbrella that overshadows one part of the beach. The best time to arrive is from November to March. However, only small number of people can be on the beach in the same time. Since this whole place is under UNESCO protection, it is important to preserve natural beauty. Staying on the beach is mostly for those who like a quiet holiday. In other words, the cave-in that place prevents wind gusts, so the sea is quite calm. The union of man and nature is really possible here.
