Augmented Reality Games might still be a new concept but we are already very familiar with Pokemon Go and Ingress.

Augmented Reality (AR) is the interactive experience of a real-world where the objects, in reality, are enhanced by computer-generated perceptual information. It’s a real-time interaction, a combination of the virtual and real world.

1. Brickscape

Brickscape is a 3D puzzle, where players need to move various blocks inside a block. The goal is to move the core piece into the centre. The game is relatively simple and the Augmented Reality version lets you play a game through your camera with your surroundings.

2. Eggs, Inc Augmented Reality

Eggs, Inc is a farming game where you build a farm, collect resources and upgrade your stuff. The gameplay is casual and there isn’t much thinking required. However, there are not so many AR elements within the game.

3. Ingress Prime

Ingress is one of the first really good Augmented Reality Games on Android. Developed by Niantic, this game caused a huge buzz when it first came out. it’s played in the real world and the game shows you where some portals are. You hack the portals for your team and then build them up so others team can’t access them.

4. Jurassic World Alive

Jurassic World Alive has similar gameplay to Harry Potter and Pokemon Go. Players roam in the real world and search for various dinosaurs to collect. From there, players can battle it out with others and create hybrid dinosaurs which can be collected.

5. Kings of Pool

This is a billiards game with a unique premise – the app will impose a pool table on any flat surface in the house. Then, you can play pool in an online multiplayer with 8-balls.

6. Knightfall Augmented Reality

Knightfall is a game by A&E and it is more a proof of concept than anything else. Basically, it’s a board game. You just find a flat surface and the game will impose there.

7. Pokemon Go

Of course, we can’t go by and not mention the famous Pokemon Go. The game is still evolving though, so there’s always something new.

8. The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead is an Augmented Reality game that is similar to Harry Potter and Pokemon Go in style. You roam around in the real-world and kill zombies. The zombies will change the baseline based on your location and social elements. You can clear out the zombies and put your mark on the map so other players can find it.

9. Zombies, Run Augmented Reality

Zombies, Run is a fitness game and to play it, you need to go for a walk or run. As you go, you unlock various pieces of the story. The drama will involve you in a creative way that will motivate you to keep going. The game also works on treadmills if you can’t go out.

10. Harry Potter: Wizards Unite

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is the latest AR game by Niantic, similar to Pokemon Go. Players walk around in the real world ad collect various things. You can battle various foes and deal with a calamity that affected wizards everywhere.
