Which Tesla Model is the best for you? Tesla is constantly expanding the offer but today, we will focus on cars that are practical for everyday use. Tesla came out on the market as one of the first pure electric cars.

Their main goal is to make electric cars more affordable for general public. Besides cars, the company is also exploring a wider ecosystem. Tesla is constantly working on innovative solutions for solar panels and storing the solar energy.

Tesla Model S

It is available in the US, United Kingdom and Europe. Originally, it was launched back in 2012 and helped Tesla to be marked as a serious automaker. They continued to update the model over the years and the most recent model has two versions.

Earlier editions of this vehicle operated in the rear-wheel drive but all new versions come in all-wheel drive. The Long Range Plus (402 miles, 0-60mph in 3.7 sec) and Performance (348 miles, 0-60 in 2.3 seconds) are variations which customers can choose from.

Performance has a mode for insane acceleration, while Long Range is focused on passing more miles. Both come with autopilot. However, a full self-driving upgrade will cost an additional $7,000. The price of a new Model S is starting at $74,990.

Model 3

The Model 2 was launched back in 2016, as affordable Model S. Prices are now dropping and you can get this model anywhere from $37.990. However, the full self-driving upgrade is to be additionally charged.

There are three options available; Standard Range Plus, Long Range and Performance. This model is the one worn by Elon Musk when he shared an office in Marbella (Málaga). Standard Range Plus is only RWD (rear-wheel drive), with 250 miles range, going from 0 to 60 in 5.3 seconds and has a partial premium interior. It’s the most affordable version.

Long Range is AWD, has a range of 322 miles, 75kWh, can go from 0 to 60 in 4.4 seconds and has a premium interior. Performance is also AWD, with a range of 299, 75kWh and can reach 60mph in 3.2 seconds. It also has a premium interior.

Tesla Model X

The Model X is an SUV-style EV capable of holding up to seven people. It features the Falcon Wing doors and huge touchscreen inside. There are two models available. Long Range Plus is AWD, with 351 miles range and goes from 0 to 60 in 4.4 seconds. Performance is also AWD, with a 305-mile range and goes from 0 to 60 in 2.6 seconds. It’s starting price is $79,990.

Model Y

It’s somewhere in between Model 3 and Model X. It’s a compact SUV which can fit seven people (if you choose to upgrade for $3,000). The compact SUV is actually the biggest selling.

It’s available in two options; Long Range with AWD, 316 miles range and 0-60 in 4.8 seconds and Performance with AWD, 315 miles and 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. Starting price for this vehicle is $52,990 and likely to drop down.

Roadster

This is something way different and isn’t for the ones who are looking to get a good price and economic car. Tesla Roadster is what they claim to be, the fastest electric car so far. It offers an experience of 0-60 speed in 1.9 seconds and the top speed of 250mph.

The car has four seats and a removable glass roof. For now, only the Base Spec is available. It has AWD (all-wheel drive) and 620 miles range. Additional versions will be coming soon and the starting price for this car is $200,000.
